What's included in Day-by-Day Gourmet meals, and how much do they cost?

Each of our meals is complete (including protein, carbohydrate and fruit/vegetable) and completely nutritionally balanced. All are available in any portion size up to six, depending on the size of your household. Meals with larger portion sizes are priced lower per portion (see ‘Pricing’).

We're a two-person household, but we often entertain. Can I get my meals in different portion sizes?

No problem! Each meal can be ordered in any portion size you desire. For example, you can buy 8 two-portion meals, 2 four-portion meals and 2 five-portion meals in the same 12 meal package. Go ahead and invite your friends for dinner!

What happens when I get to the Day-by-Day Gourmet location?

Just stop by the location you selected at the time you specified when you placed your online order, and our staff will carry your order to your car. It’s that easy!

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We've taken care of all the packaging for your meals, so all you need to bring is a cooler to transport them home. And if you forget you're cooler, don't worry – we can provide a box for you.

What if I have allergies or don't care for some of the ingredients?

Not to worry. Our staff will call you to see if you have any food preferences or allergies we need to know about, or you can email the location you’ve chosen with this information after you place your order.

How much freezer space do I need?

Our packaging is designed so that even a 12-meal package of our four-portion meals will use no more than half the space in the average freezer compartment.

Can I get more than one of the same meal?

Absolutely! As long as the minimum 12 meals are ordered, they could even all be the same meal. You could self-cater your own dinner party to make it really affordable!

Are your fruits and vegetables fresh or frozen?

We use flash-frozen fruits and vegetables, as all of our menu items are designed to be held frozen in your home freezer until you’re ready to prepare and serve them. Flash-freezing shortly after harvesting provides for optimum nutrient preservation, and our culinary team works hard to use that combination of ingredients in each meal which will freeze and thaw without compromising nutrition, flavor or appearance.

I have some health issues and need to be careful with my diet. Can Day-by-Day Gourmet work for me?

Our Culinary Nutrition and Behavior Consultant, Graham Kerr, is one of the world's leading creators of meals which are both delicious and healthy. But to answer the question, every Day-by-Day Gourmet meal will very soon be available in modified form to meet heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly, gluten-free and even vegetarian dietary requirements. This program, called F.I.T. (Food Individually Tailored), is expected to be made available late in early 2009, but until then, just give us a quick call or send us an email after placing your online order, and we will adjust our recipes to fit your needs.

What is your return policy?

We make every effort to ensure the quality of our meals, and we are so confident in our offerings that if for any reason you find one of them unsatisfactory, we will refund the entire purchase price. All we ask is that you let us know how we disappointed you so that our culinary team can pursue its goal of maintaining the highest standards of dining experience and nutritional excellence.
